Shyam Ragupathy is Chief Operating Officer at Waaree Group. He has more than two decades of experience in India’s power sector, spanning business strategy, transformation and change management. He has worked on power distribution reforms in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, process consultancy for Power Finance Corporation, and strategy development under the government’s R-APDRP programme. He was an early advocate of energy storage as a way to integrate solar and wind into India’s grid. Earlier in his career, he held roles at KPMG Advisory Services and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. He holds an MBA from the University of Madras.
