Glenn Dahlenburg is the founder of GCD Advisory providing strategic insights drawn from delivering first-of-a-kind distributed energy storage projects.
At Energy Queensland he led one of Australia’s largest distributed battery portfolios — more than 200 sites and a $320 million program — from business case through procurement, construction and commissioning to live operations, on compressed 12-month cycles.
Having delivered batteries at scale, Glenn has turned to what happens at end of life. Working with TAFE Queensland, he is mapping the risks and opportunities from removal to recycling to ensure training exists so that the market can scale safely.
He advises regulators, utilities, developers and investors on storage strategy, grid integration and project delivery across Australia and Asia Pacific. He is here to compare notes with anyone building storage at pace: what makes a project bankable, what breaks in delivery, and what happens once the asset comes off the pad.
