Dr. Puneet Chitkara has more than 25 years of extensive experience in areas like integrated modelling of power system for simulation studies including power system planning, price and demand forecasting, short & long-term portfolio optimization, transmission pricing, derivatives, regulatory economics, capacity expansion planning models, connectivity & open access issues, electricity market design, etc. He has provided consultancy to several Industries, Government Ministries, Regulatory Bodies, Private Equity Investors, funding agencies like World Bank, USAID etc. He has recently completed Resource Adequacy model “STELLAR” for CEA. Dr. Puneet has several publications in top international journals including IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Empirical Economics, Review of Development Economics, Applied Energy, Environmental Science, and Technology, International Journal of Electric Power and Energy Systems, IEEE Access, and Applied Economics Letters. Dr. Puneet is an electrical engineer with Ph.D. in Development Economics and has done his post-doctoral work at the University of Hong Kong (2007) and Johns Hopkins University (2019- 2020).
