Kapil Kumar brings nearly two decades of experience in renewable energy, with deep expertise in asset management, operations, and performance optimisation across solar and wind technologies. At BluPine Energy, he oversees ~2 GWp of operating assets and supports the development of 2 GW+ across solar, wind, and battery storage, driving reliability, profitability, and long-term asset value.
Prior to BluPine, Kapil led O&M at Azure Power, managing a 450+ member team responsible for 4 GWp of operating assets, and held key leadership roles at Fortum, shaping solar technology strategy, technical due diligence, and global R&D collaboration. He began his career in project development and EPC execution at ETA Engineering.
An alumnus of IIT Bombay and the Indian School of Business (ISB), Kapil is known for his technical acumen, data-driven approach, and ability to build high-performing teams that strengthen BluPine’s operational excellence.
